- I have to disagree totally with the statement that the girls parents pay. I have a male pairs partner and we pay all of our way. Competitive pairs girls are hard to find as most are working on the singles dream. I can't tell you how many talented girls said no to pairs.

It works well for males
- My definition for a partnership is that both parties pay an equal share; however, we have missed out on great pairings because there are so many girls who are willing to pay 100% of the males expenses to skate. It used to be called "Rent a Russian" however now most of these boys out there are just "bought" or "paid employees" of an aggressive privileged girls family. But, hey whatever works.... Am I jaded? Very. Looking for a partner is almost a moot point now for most girls on IPS regardless of how wonderful they are, it is all about paying for a partner.
