Bunny Hop

The bunny hop is an elementary maneuver that almost anyone at any age can do. In this photo, the skater does a very high bunny hop.

To do a bunny hop, start off skating in a straight line on a left forward outside edge, but heads up for the foot change. Swing your free foot forward, leap forward toward your right leg, place the right toe on the ice, and then change feet by pushing out forward on your left forward outside edge.
