- 'I grew up skating at the Lake Minnetonka Figure skating club in Minnetonka, MN...I skated on all the teams there back in the late 80s, I also skated one year with an "adult" team in CT in 1992. The only other thing of note was me wanting to skate in CO Springs forever - given the whole Jill Trenary coming from our rink to go be an olympic competitor back in the 1980s.
I live in Denver - the "Highlands" neighborhood between Sloan's lake, 32nd & Lowell area and Invesco Stadium...it’s a great neighborhood!
I work in marketing communications at McKesson Health Solutions in Broomfield, CO and my primary role is to provider marketing strategy and tactical support for our field team of physicians and nurses who promote our disease management programs to doctors who treat Medicaid and Medicare patients...In many ways its a lot different than the work I did for HIV in the developing world when I was living in NYC but there are parallels.
Besides skating I also enjoy mentoring a high school student through the Minds Matter program and taking advantage of other volunteer opportunities in the Denver community, hiking, skiing, camping, other team sports, adventure travel, running, biking, race events and reading anything I can get my hands on -- basically I love to passionately pursue new challenges in all shapes and sizes. ;)'
