Electoral Map on the Rockefeller Center Ice Rink

On Election Day, November 4, 2008, a map of the United States was scribed into the ice surface of the famous ice rink at Rockefeller Center. During the day, skaters enjoyed ice skating over the map. Later that night, as the election results came in, the states were painted blue or red. This photo was taken the morning after the election.
