Definition: The bunny hop is an elementary ice skating move that almost anyone at any age can do. The nice thing about doing these is that they feel something like a jump, so they’re a great way to work through your natural fear of jumping. Start off skating in a straight line on a left forward outside edge, but heads up for the foot change. Swing your free foot forward, leap forward toward your right leg, place the right toe on the ice, and then change feet by pushing out forward on your left forward outside edge.
