Two-time Olympic Pair Skating Champion and 6-Time World Pair Skating Champion, Aleksandr Zaitsev, lives in Moscow, but visited the U.S. during the summer on 2009. On Friday, May 29, 2009, a party was given in his honor. During the party, he did a death spiral with 1981 World Pair Skating Champion Irina Vorobieva. Vorobieva lives and coaches skating in the United States. Zaitsev won gold with another Irina, Irina Rodnina.
