Skater's Edge was the exclusive skate technician for many of the top figure skaters in southern California. The store is now based in Colorado, but California skaters are so pleased with the precise sharpening skills of Skater's Edge, that skates are shipped directly to the company for a skater's needs. Frank Carroll, coach of Evan Lysacek and Danielle Kahle, has relied on Skater's Edge for many years.
The store stocks a full line of equipment to suit a skaters needs. In addition to carrying boot and blades, the store sells Zuca Bags, skate guards, soft blade covers, Mondor tights, laces, Bunga gel pads, hockey tape, and other ice skating accessories.
Skater's Edge provides customers with on-site skate sharpening services. The first sharpening is free. In addition to figure skate sharpening, the company specializes in hockey skate sharpening.
The company is a preferred dealer for Harlick, SP-Teri, Jackson Ultima, and Riedell ice skates and blades. The company also sells MK and John Wilson blades. Skater's Edge is also a dealer of Superfeet custom insoles.
Hockey and figure skating coaches receive complimentary sharpenings and discounts. No hidden costs are passed on to customers. All products are sold at the suggested retail prices.
In 2005-06, Skater's Edge was highlighted and featured on the Learning Channel television series, "Ice Diaries" for its well-known and unique ice skating sharpening skills and expertise.
