Experience

Jo Ann Schneider Farris is a former writer for ThoughtCo who contributed 156 articles in nearly 10 years. She began skating as a young child and eventually earned status as a U.S. Figure Skating double gold medalist. In 1975, she won a silver medal in junior ice dancing at the U.S. National Figure Skating Championships. Since the early 1980s, she has coached and trained skaters of all ages and levels.
