Ice skating fans don't always understand how figure skating jumps are scored. They can see a skater do a beautiful program with what seems like clean triple jumps. They think their favorite skater has won. Then the scores appear. Triples were only scored as doubles. The technical panel decided the skater did not do some triple jumps correctly. - Yes of course they should be down graded. If a skater does not preform a triple they should not be awarded a triple
