The accident made it impossible for her to compete and Tonya Harding won the Championship Ladies event. Shortly after that, it was discovered that Tonya Harding had been part of an alleged conspiracy to hurt Nancy. Tonya was banned from U.S. Figure Skating for life.

A Lesson on Forward Crossovers
There are different ways to get the right foot over the left foot. Most beginning skaters will want to place the right foot over the left, which is okay, but as a skater advances, it is better to place the right inside edge next to the other skate's left outside edge, and to then slide the left skate under the right.

Swizzles
Put your blades together with heels touching in a "V" position. On inside edges, push outward, then inward to make your toes touch. You should make the shape of a fish. You have now done a forward swizzle or scissors. Repeat by doing several in a row. Now try going backward. Reverse the process, starting with your toes together on inside edges, move outward, then inward so your heels touch again. As you make the move, make sure to bend your knees. This is a great exercise to get knees going.

Side By Side Back Crossovers

Nick Perna is an ice skating inventor. His inventions include "The 8-Mate," the PIC® Frame Skate, and the "Freedom Blade." He did not invent the pole jump harness, but has used the pole harness so often, that almost everyone in the skating industry thinks that he invented it. Nick is also an accomplished ice skater and figure skating coach.
Producers High School Musical
Disney's High School Musical: The Ice Tour was inspired by the Disney Channel Original Movie, "High School Musical," and "High School Musical 2." Three different tours travel throughout the United States and perform on ice. Shows also tour in Canada, Europe, and Mexico. This photo gallery highlights some of the highlights of the show.
