Tyler competed in the Juvenile Boys event at Junior Nationals, after winning the US Juvenile pairs title. He admits it was hard to stay focused after knowing he had just become a national figure skating champion in pairs.
Major highlights of their figure skating careers was winning the US National Juvenile and Intermediate pair titles in 2008 and 2009.

Olivia was born in Jacksonville, Florida. Her mother, Trudy Oltmanns, was originally from Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Her father is Christopher Oltmanns from Delmar, Iowa. Olivia has one sister named Emily who also was a competitive figure skater.
Tyler was born in Kansas City, Missouri. His parents are Christopher and Christine Broderick from Plattsburg, Missouri. Tyler has one brother and one sister.

We would like people to know that we skate together because we are best friends and we love doing things together. Although we now love pairs, in the beginning we didn't care what figure skating discipline we skated as long as we could skate and spend time together.

Olivia and Tyler are very close and act like they are twins. The children can't imagine skating with anyone else. They hope to be a pair team that stays together for all of their figure skating career.
