How Mirielle Began Skating:
Mirielle's mother, Christie, is a ballet, tap, and jazz dance instructor-choreographer and musical theater performer. At age six, her parents put Mirielle in figure skating lessons to give her opportunities in addition to dancing and performing. Mirielle loved skating.
How Mirielle Became Serious About Figure Skating:
Mirielle enjoyed the challenge of learning new things. She loves the competitive figure skating environment and also gets pleasure through performing in front of people. At age fifteen, she moved two hours from home to train full time with coach Jackie Brenner. It was very hard for her to leave her family, home, and friends, but she's dedicated to working hard at figure skating.
Test Record and Competition Experience:
Mirielle has passed her Senior Moves in the Field, Junior Freeskating Test, Juvenile Pairs, Juvenile Free Dance, and all the Silver Dances. She competed at the 2003 U.S. Junior Figure Skating Championships in ice dance. She has competed in the Southwestern Regional Championships every year since 2000. At the 2006 Southwestern Regionals, she qualified for the Novice singles finals.
Favorite Skating Music:
Mirielle's favorite music to skate to is Piano Concerto #2 by Sergei Rachmaninoff and music from the Motion Picture Bicentennial Man. Other favorites include Pirates of the Carribean, National Treasure, and the "Lord of the Dance."More About Mirielle:

Mirielle skates five days a week for two hours a day on ice. In addition, she does daily off-ice conditioning.Goals and Dreams:
Short term goals are to make it to United States Nationals at the Junior level in the next two years. Mirielle's long term goal is to compete in 2010 Olympics. Following a competitive career in singles, Mirielle desires to return to ice dancing to compete again at that branch of figure skating.Financial concerns:
