High School Musical: The Ice Tour makes people happy. This particular Disney On Ice production has more figure skating in it than other Disney skating productions. The show combines the story plot from both the "High School Muscial" and "High School Musical 2" movies. Guide Review - Review of Disney's High School Musical: The Ice Tour

Disney's High School Musical: The Ice Tour was inspired by the Disney Channel Original Movie, "High School Musical," and "High School Musical 2." Stories from both movies are told on the ice. All the music in the ice show is from the “High School Musical” and "High School Musical 2" soundtracks.

The cast of each Disney's High School Musical: The Ice Tour includes about thirty-four figure skaters and seven principal skaters. The figure skaters performing in Disney’s High School Musical: The Ice Tour dance on the ice in a way that is fun and entertaining. It appears that they are not only dancing, but also singing.

The ice skaters performing in the show are high level figure skaters; some are former Olympic, world, and national competitors and professional ice show skaters and stars. The high level of skating does show in the show. For example, the skaters in the show perform double and triple jumps, back flips, flying camels, ice dance lifts, throw double Salchows, spread eagles, spirals, and lots of other figure skating moves. They make it look as if everyone in any high school must, of course, know how to figure skate, and that the "real world" is one gigantic ice rink.

Those who "know skating" will notice that the skaters in the show look a bit out of practice, but that "out of practice look" almost makes them almost look natural as they perform.

Those who are familiar with the High School Musical movies have commented that the cast doesn't really look like the actors they have seen on the screen.

Like all Disney shows, this show is really traveling Disney entertainment which is very fun, especially for young audiences. Some young people may be inspired to give figure skating a try after seeing High School Musical: The Ice Tour since the cast makes ice skating look like great fun.
