Guide Review - Review of Disney On Ice: Princess Classics

Disney On Ice shows are meant to make people happy, and those who attend Disney On Ice: Princess Classics will definitely smile.

Some of the classic Disney characters such as Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy, and Tinkerbell introduce the show. Then, some of the wonderful Disney stories that people of all ages know and love are brought to life and told by figure skaters.

In the first half of the show, audiences get to see part of the stories from Beauty and the Beast, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Mulan, Alladin, and The Little Mermaid. The entire story of Cinderella is told in the second half of the show.

The sets and costumes are very elaborate. For example, the costumes in The Little Mermaid scene glow in the dark, Alladin and Princess Jasmine fly around on a magic carpet. Alladin even rides on an elephant that seems to be wearing ice skates!

Familiar Disney music is played during the entire show. It appears that the cast is not only skating, but also singing. The figure skaters performing in the show are high level figure skaters; some are former world and national competitors.

Like all Disney shows, this show is really traveling Disney entertainment which is very fun, especially for families and young audiences.

No Princess Tiana, Member coriharper

May 2001 my husband and 4 year old daughter and I saw the princess on ice show. The show was very professional and entertaining, but my daughter was sad that Princess Tiana was not in the show, nor mentioned. Don't quite understand why Princess Tiana would not be included in this show, since she now finally has her own Princess story and they sell many dolls and items with her on them. I told my daughter that Princess Tiana was sick and couldn't make the show. My daughter replied, ""Mommy Tiana will feel better tomorrow and we will see her next time"". I also have a problem with the movie The Princess and the Frog, because Tiana was only a Princesses for the final 10 minutes of the movie, other then that she was a frog.
