Profiles of Ice Dancers

It has been said that Tanith Belbin and Ben Agosto are the most outstanding ice dance team ever produced by the United States.

Ice dancers Meryl Davis and Charlie White have had a successful skating career. After winning the United States Junior Ice Dancing title in 2006, they placed third in the 2007 U.S. National Figure Skating Championships in 2007. That third place finish earned them a spot on the 2007 U.S. World Figure Skating Team.

Melissa Gregory, and her husband and skating partner, Denis Petukhov, won a Silver Medal in the 2006 U.S. National Figure Skating Championships. That placement earned them a trip to the 2006 Olympics in Torino.

Howie Harrold was an ice dance coach who taught figure skating in southern California in the late 1960s. He died when he was quite young in a tragic accident.

Kassy Kova and Justin Ross are the ONLY African American competitive ice dance team in the United States. Their goal is to become national and international competitors, and they hope to participate in the 2014 Olympics.
