Amanda Chaney Writes the Following About Denver Synchronicity:
- "With 20 skaters, there are 20 different personalities and inevitable conflicts. This year the team bonded so well. I received nothing but positive comments and encouragement from teammates. At competitions, I noticed that we are unique in our positive attitudes and genuine good wishes for all the competitors. Of course, we wanted to win! But we did not put anyone else down. We had a great time together! Also, I should mention that Karen Sulpizio gave me a few lessons which were extremely helpful to me. She is a great coach. It really helped that she knew the dynamics of the program."
Amanda Chaney Shares Her Feelings About Winning:
- 'This was the first competition where there was "open judging" and we got to see our scores immediately in the kiss and cry area. It was an awesome thrill completing the best program of the season (even considering practices) and getting to see ourselves on the big screen, hear our friends and families cheering and see our great score. It was an awesome moment! I keep thinking about the program and those minutes after the program because they were so much fun. Real life seems a little boring this week!'
Amanda Chaney Shares About the Future:
- "I'm so thankful and happy that Alicia is building on our success with the addition of a wonderful Masters Team and now possibly a Novice team for younger skaters. This year might be the true peak of my adult skating career; however, I know that I can move on the Masters team in the future or help the young skaters strive for their dreams as well."
