"I reside in Colorado Springs, Colorado and am married to an Army Officer currently serving overseas. I am a figure skating choreographer and coach mainly working at Sertich/World Arena/Pueblo, fitness instructor and personal trainer at Fort Carson, and a competitive adult skater for 3 years. I skated for 4 years from age 8-12 and re-entered the skating world in college from age 23-27. I have been living in Colorado Springs, CO since September 2006. I have passed my Senior Free, Senior MIF, Pre-Gold Dance, and Forth Figure Test. I currently compete as an adult in Championship Masters level.
When starting back in skating in 2003, my test levels were 4th Figure Test, Intermediate FS, and Bronze Dances. By 2004 I passed the Senior FS, Silver Dances, and finished out my figure test-line via MIF with Senior MIF. I am still testing my dances and have completed the Pre-Gold Dances.
I have graduated from University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Kinesiology majoring in Sports Management and minoring in Theatre & Dance. I am PSA Certified Rated in MIF and Freestyle, IFPA (International Fitness Professionals Association) & FiTOUR Certified, and held the titles of Miss Florida American Teen 1995 and Miss Delaware Coed 1996. When younger, I skated at Sport-A-Rama in Monsey, NY, Lake Placid, NY, and University of Delaware in Newark, DE; working with great coaches and choreographers as Debbie Milne, Gustave Lussi, Priscilla Hill, Jeff DiGregorio, Pam Duane, LeAnn Miller, and Jill Cosgrove."
I train 10 hours a week on-ice and 8 hours a week off-ice.
Why Did You Decide to do Synchro?
"I just moved to Colorado from Kentucky while my husband was, and still is, serving in Kuwait. I wanted to get involved as much as possible with the skating community in Colorado Springs and was told about the Denve Synchronicity team by a fellow adult skater. I went to a practice session and was impressed with the growth of synchronized skating and the talents of Denver Synchronicity and really wanted to join in on the fun and training."
