Reigning United States figure skating champions are usually the favorites figure skaters predicted to win the U.S. National Figure Skating Championships that precedes an Olympics. The event also serves as our country's Olympic trials.
United States Figure Skating's New Dilemma:
The problem is that, this time around, past and present U.S. Figure Skating Champions, Olympic and world medalists, and World figure skating champions will be competing against one another. The are no "for sure" champions or medalists. The days when the U.S. Figure Skating Championships that led to the Olympics were predictable, are over. Surprises are definately in store.
