Women's and Men's single skating events, pair skating, and ice dancing are the figure skating events that take place at the Winter Olympics.

  • Single Skating:

The most popular figure skating event at the Olympics is women's singles. A skater performs jumps, spins, footwork, and other skating moves to music. Men compete against men and women compete against women.

  • Pair Skating:

Pair Skating is considered the most thrilling and athletic figure skating event at the Winter Olympics. A man and a woman skate together and perform jumps and spins both together as a pair and side by side in unison. The man lifts and throws the lady.

  • Ice Dancing:

Ice dancing is similar to ballroom dancing, but is done on the ice. Olympic ice dancing events have three phases: the compulsory dance phase, the original dance phase, and the free dance phase. A man and a woman perform together.
