Mr. Grossi - Figure Skating Master Coach:
Giuliano Gross loved skating and was a perfectionist and figure skating master. He was known as "Mr. Grossi" to his students. He came to America to teach in the early 1960s. He taught skating in Ohio, Indiana, and in California.
In the midwest, he built a top skating program from scratch. He then moved to southern California with his students so that his students could train in the warmer climate. In southern California, he was well respected by everyone in figure skating.

Giuliano Grossi was born on November 8, 1929 in Italy to Giuseppe and Maria Grossi.

Italian Skating Champion and Ice Show Star:
Giuliano Grossi was the National Italian Roller Skating Champion, the Italian Junior Men's Figure Skating Champion, the Italian National Figure Skating Champion Runner Up and 1952 Italian Olympic Team alternate to Carlo Fassi. He went on to star in Holiday on Ice. He also skated with figure skatng legend Sonja Henie and was one of Scott Hamilton's coaches.
Giuliano Grossi and Sonia Bianchetti Garbato - Pair Skating Team 1952:
Sonia Bianchetti Garbato was a top figure skating official with the International Skating Union (ISU). She began her career with the ISU in 1963 and served until 1992.
Sonia Bianchetti Garbato and Giuliano Grossi skated pairs together for a short while.
