Sandra Loosemore of Skateweb wrote this excellent review of the 1961 U.S. National Figure Skating Championships after viewing a video at the World Figure Skating Museum. Those who placed in this event at the senior level, were killed in a plane crash in 1961 when the entire U.S. Figure Skating Team flew to compete in the 1961 World Figure Skating Championships.
