Brian Boitano of the United States was known for skating perfectly.   Not only did he win the Olympics in 1988, but he also won the men's world figure skating title in 1986 and 1988, and won the U.S. national title in 1985, 1986, 1987, and in 1988.  His trademark jump was the "Tano Triple Lutz" where he where he raised his left arm above his head as he jumped and completed three revolutions in the air.
