There are over twenty-five indoor ice arenas in southern California that are open year round. All southern California ice skating rinks offer public skating, figure skating, learn-to-skate programs, and ice hockey programs for youth and adults.
Southern California's figure skaters are fortunate that there are many ice rinks to choose from, but many figure skaters in the Los Angeles area do a tremendous amount of driving and traveling for training and instruction.
Those new to figure skating should try find a rink that offers plenty of ice time, public skating, group instruction, and private skating lessons since an ice arena can become a figure skater's home away from home. If possible, shop around for a rink that will meet your skating needs.
