Guide Review - Indelible Tracings: The Story of the 1961 U.S. World Figure Skating Team
Indelible Tracings really is a "must read" for all figure skaters and ice skating fans. It does a great job of remembering people in figure skating that might have been completely forgotten.
On February 15, 1961, a tragic plane crash killed all the members of the U.S. Figure Skating Team. Also, friends, family, judges, officials, and coaches were killed. The skaters were traveling to the World Championships in Prague, Czechoslovakia. Patty Shelley Bushman has written a book, INDELIBLE TRACINGS, the story of the members of the 1961 U.S. World Figure Skating Team.
Bushman's book is thoroughly researched. Each person who died in the fatal crash is told about in detail. Every fact in the book is documented and noted.
Those who "know figure skating" will find this book very interesting since it is made clear that every figure skater in the United States has been touched in some way by the people who died in the tragic plane crash.
The reader will learn about every skater, coach, official, or relative who was on that ill-fated plane. Those from the figure skating world, discussed in the book, who were killed in the crash include:
