Mia's Continuing Story
Mia is a ten year old who lives in a small town in New York State. In the past, she has played ice hockey with her three older brothers who are competitive ice hockey players. In this book, she begins training hard to prepare to compete in an important regional competition.A family crisis suddenly occurs that changes Mia's plans. It looks like she won't be able to take part in regionals because of the family crisis. Supportive friends and family come to Mia's aid, and she gets to compete in the regional event afterall.
In the book, some of the people in the figure skating world that Mia interacts with are not that nice, but Mia deals with those people in a very grown-up manner. At the end of the book, Mia ends up learning what it means to be a good sport and also how to be a supportive and kind person.
