"Ice Diaries" was a 2005-2006 television series shown on The Learning Channel that highlighted four top female U.S. figure skaters who could possibly make the 2006 Olympics.
The four figure skaters who were featured were Beatrisa "Bebe" Liang, Alissa Czisny, Danielle Kahle, and Sandy Rucker.
None of the figure skaters who were featured made it to the 2006 Olympics.
In 2006, Bebe Liang placed fifth at the U.S. National Figure Skating Championships, but did not make the Olympic team. In 2007, she placed fourth at the U.S. Nationals.
Alissa Czisny did not make the Olympics in 2006, but she did make the U.S. World Figure Skating Team in 2007. At the 2007 U.S. National Figure Skating Championships, she won the freeskating portion of the event.
In 2006, Danielle Kahle won both the Southwest Pacific regional and the Pacific Coast sectional, but did not place in the top ten at the U.S. National Figure Skating Championships. In 2007, she won the Pacific Coast sectional again and came in sixth at the U.S. National Figure Skating Championships.
2005 National Junior Ladies Figure Skating Champion, Sandy Rucker, had a disappointing beginning to the 2006 figure skating competition season and did not qualify for sectionals or nationals. Her Olympic dreams ended earlier than the other skaters featured on the show.
