2007 U.S. National Men's Figure Skating Silver Medalist :

Ryan Bradley won a silver medal at the United States National Figure Skating Championships in 2007. He was a member of the 2007 United States World Figure Skating Team.

Date and Place of Birth:

Ryan Bradley was born on November 17, 1983 in St. Joseph, Missouri.

Training Town:

Ryan Bradley's family moved to Colorado Springs when he was twelve years old because of Ryan's talent at figure skating. Ryan's father left a successful medical practice in St. Joseph, Missouri so that Ryan could train at the Colorado Springs World Arena, one of the top figure skating training centers in the world.

Coaches:

Ryan Bradley's coaches are Tom Zakrajsek, Becky Calvin, and Damon Allen. His choreographers are Catarina Lindgren and Nikoli Morozov. Ryan has been coached by Tom Zakrajsek since he was five years old.

Family:

Ryan is from a skating family. His parents, Barbara and Doug Bradley, both were skaters and his sister, Becky, was a competitive skater and is a figure skating coach. He has a niece: Taryn Codorniz. All of Ryan's family is supportive of his skating.

As a child, Ryan was at the rink everyday because his parents and sister skated. His dad actually wanted him to play tennis, but he was too young to compete in tournaments, so he became a skater instead.

Talented Young Ryan Bradley:

Ryan Bradley showed that he was talented at figure skating at a young age. He landed a double axel, triple salchow and triple toe loop by the time he was nine years old.

Skating Club and Training :

Ryan Bradley represents the Broadmoor Skating Club.

Ryan trains at the Colorado Springs World Arena. He skates three sessions a day, five days a week. Sometimes he skates on Saturday. He also does modern dance, ballet, and trains in the gym.

Education and Accomplishments:

Ryan is a full-time student at University of Colorado, Colorado Springs. He won the U.S. Collegiate Figure Skating Championships in 2005 and 2006. The competition, which is held in August of each year, is the only figure skating competition for full-time college students. The competitors must be junior and senior level figure skaters.

Hobbies and Interests:

Ryan Bradley enjoys old movies and video games. He also enjoys basketball. He also likes to read. Other sports he has participated in are hockey, baseball, and soccer. In addition to doing single skating, Ryan has also competed and done quite well in pair skating.

Other Skating Accomplishments:

Ryan Bradley has passed through the third figure test, Novice pair test, and Senior Moves in the Field and Senior Freestyle tests. He has competed at the U.S. National Figure Skating Championships ten times in singles and pairs. He has competed at many international events. He competed in the Junior Grand Prix Series for three years making it to the finals each time, he went to Junior Worlds three times, and has competed at several Senior international competitions.

Favorite Famous Skater:

Ryan Bradley's favorite famous skater is Scott Hamilton.

Favorite Skating Music:

Ryan's favorite skating music is Dueling Banjos and Devil Came Down from Georgia. He choreographed his own program to that music.

Best Skating Moves:

Ryan Bradley's best skating move is his triple axel. He is working on a quad toe loop.

Goals and Dreams:

Ryan Bradley would like to make it to the 2010 Olympics, graduate from college, and someday perhaps do some coaching.
