On February 22, 2010, Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir became Canada's and North America's first-ever Olympic Ice Dance Champions.

Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir won the 2008, 2009, and 2010 Canadian national ice dance title. They won the 2008 Four Continents Championships and won a silver medal at the 2008 World Figure Skating Championships. In 2009, they won bronze at the World Figure Skating Championships which took place in Los Angeles.World Junior Ice Dance Champions:
Virtue and Moir had a successful career at the junior level. In 2006, they won the World Junior Ice Dance Championships.

Tessa Virtue was born on May 17, 1989 in London, Ontario, Canada. Scott Moir was born on September 2, 1987 in London, Ontario, Canada.
About Scott Moir's Ice Skating Family:
Scott's mother is a figure skating coach. His brother, Danny, competed with his cousin Sheri Moir in ice dancing. Danny Moir is now a figure skating coach in Europe and Sheri Moir competes in synchronized skating.
Began Skating:
Tessa began skating when she was six years old and Scott was four when he began to skate.
Began Partnership:
Virtue and Moir became ice dance partners in 1997.
Coaches and Training :
Tessa and Scott train in Canton, Michigan under Igor Shpilband and Marina Zueva.
Hobbies and Interests :
Dance, travel, photography, and shopping are things Tessa enjoys. Scott enjoys most sports, especially softball.
Favorite Skater:
Both Virtue and Moir admire and look up to Kurt Browning.
