Figure skating coach and choreographer, Tom Dickson, suggested that Kathy Johnson start a modern dance program at the Colorado Springs World Arena along with ballet. They got together and developed a program that we felt would enable skaters to take what they learn in the studio and directly relate it to what they do on the ice.
