Show Good Sportsmanship at Figure Skating Competitions

Be a Gracious Loser

By , About.com Guide

Whenever you compete in any figure skating event, plan and work hard not only on your skating, but plan on how you will react if things don't go well.

Let's say you really want to win, but fall on a required element....don't show emotion in public if you are disappointed in your performance.

Also, no matter what, never stop in the middle of your program after a fall. Get up quickly, and keep going.

After the results are posted, congratulate those who did well in your event. Be a gracious loser and a good winner!
