Adult Skating Training Camp Journal
U.S. Figure Skating Correspondent, Michelle Wojdyla, went to the July 2006 Adult Training Camp in New Jersey. She kept a journal and took photos. This is the fourth year in a row that Michelle has gone to the Adult Training Camp.
She describes a very exciting weekend. She attended on-ice classes on spins, ice dancing, choreography, footwork, jumps, and moves in the field. She also participated in an off-ice ballet class.
Outstanding coaches worked with skaters individually. There were question and answer sessions with coaches. Even a time was set aside for attendees to get autographs of the famous coaches that taught at the camp. 2006 Olympian, Emily Hughes, was there. She taught the single skating classes.
Michelle also made many friends. Comments from the adult skaters who were at the camp are included in Michelle's journal.
