Figure Skating Parents Watch In the Stands At a Skating Competition

At the 2013 Midwestern Sectional Figure Skating Championships, I heard about a parent who was "downright nasty" to the parents of her daughter's competitors.  I have always made it a practice to be supportive to everyone in the ice skating world, so it was very disturbing for me to learn about that unpleasant skating mother.

Figure skaters may not be the only ones who need lessons; skating parents may also need some instruction. Lessons should be given to parents on how to behave at competitive skating events.
