The Swing Waltz Is a Fun Figure Skating Social Ice Dance

When I was a teen, I will never forget doing the Swing Waltz during the Broadmoor Ice Revue.  I got to wear a dress that was worn in Ice Follies and I felt so pretty.   My partner wore a matching tuxedo.  My favorite part of the dance was smiling as I bent and swung my free leg at the end of the dance!  The Swing Waltz was a standard in ice shows when I was a kid and also is still done at social ice dance sessions and at ice dance weekends.
