I have decided that Richard Dwyer is like an "ice skating Fred Astaire." For over sixty years, in front of thousands and thousands of audiences, Dwyer skated by himself and also skated and performed with pretty ladies and girls. Fred Astaire also performed on his own and shared the spotlight with beautiful women. Both men will always be remembered for their style and grace, and also for their contributions to the entertainment industry.
Dwyer will be honored on October 22, 2012 at Ice Theatre of New York City's Gala Celebration. For those of us who can't get to New York City, the event wil be streamed live. I've put together a photo gallery that I hope will give my readers a glimpse into Richard Dwyer's extraordinary ice skating show career. Thank you, Ice Theatre of New York, for many of the wonderful memories and photos!
