National Skating Month Promotional Poster
During the month of January, ice arenas all over the United States are promoting ice skating. Open houses are being held at most skating rinks. At these open houses, families get a chance to enjoy ice skating, receive complimentary skating lessons and skate rental, take part in on-ice games, and receive prizes. At some ice rinks, exhibitions or visits from skating celebrities take place. National Skating Month's goal is to increase awareness of U.S. Figure Skating's programs.
