Ice Skating on Electoral Map 2008 - Rockefeller Center Ice Rink
Over a quarter million people skate at Rockefeller Center's ice rink each year. It is considered part of the "New York City experience." The rink is open from October through April. People of all ages enjoy skating on the outdoor ice skating rink.

On Election Day, 2008, the Ice Rink at Rockefeller Center may have been the world's most famous ice rink. A map of the United States was imprinted into the rink's ice surface. As results came in, the states on the rink's map were painted either blue or red.
