Video of Ice Skating on the Rockefeller Center Ice Rink Electoral Map

Wednesday November 5, 2008
Ice skating and politics do mix! On Election Day, November 4, 2008, a map of the United States was scribed into the ice surface of the famous ice rink at Rockefeller Center. During the day, skaters enjoyed ice skating over the map. Later that night, as the election results came in, the states were painted blue or red. This video shows people skating over the historical map. It looks like great fun. Notice a skater trying a scratch spin over Texas!
