I think it would be great to put "Mia," the story about the 2008 American Girl figure skating doll to life. Another idea is to base a figure skating television show on the Silver Blades figure skating book series. A series like that would be more interesting than "The Babysitters Club." Maybe a story about a boarding school for figure skaters like Shattuck-St. Mary's School could be the basis for some great drama? What if Disney's High School Musical: The Ice Tour became a weekly television series? There are endless possiblities.
Or....should figure skating be put in soap opera form? "As the Blade Turns" has a nice ring to it!

Hi.
You asked: “Should there be a REGULAR Figure Skating show …OR (heaven forbid) a soap Opera?”
MY answer: Yeas …YES …YES!!!!!!!!!!!!
Though I haven’t been on the ice for several months now (I have literally a encyclopedia of excuses…) I try to Regularly follow figure skating during the season, on AND off (Winter, Spring, AND Summer- locally we have the Liberty SUMMER, NON-qualifying, Figure skating Competition “NEAR” Philadelphia, PA);
I am MOSTLY an “Adult Figure Skater” (I ABSOLUTELY love seeing people/skaters of my own generation out there on the ice)…but I FOLLOW LITERALLY all Figure Skating, NOT just on television. I am ROYALLY pissed about the lack of figure skating on television this season, though Ice-Network-via the Internet, is offered I am one of those people who CAN-NOT receive regular Internet service; hence I’m suffering between figure skating championships (NO post-Skate America Grand Prix OR Worlds this season

So…., YES, YES, YES (!!!!!!!) I wish there was regular Figure Skating presentation for us fans AND skaters.
Feedback?

I agree there should be something on TV. I stumbled over a “soap opera” story on the internet and i’m hooked. Google “The strong and the sequined” This is just begging to be made into a series or a movie!!
Give it a try..
Happy Skating
Maybe. There have been skaters featured on murder mystery type series. Would the skating level of mid-major skaters be high enough to keep the interest level up? I can’t see the real stars participating except for guest spots.
