New ice skaters wonder how much practice time is required to improve at figure skating. The answer to that question is simple: improving at ice skating will occur only if a skater practices consistently.

Beginning and recreational ice skaters and adult figure skaters are usually not able to keep the same schedule as young serious skaters in training. If skating daily is impossible, skaters still need to stick to a practice and lesson schedule. Remember, practice makes perfect!
