Upcoming Figure Skaters

Saturday August 12, 2006
Theron James

Many young figure skaters are training in the United States. The families of these skaters have made sacrifices towards their children's skating. These skaters work hard and love the sport.

For example, Theron James, from Connecticut, is a young African American who began skating after winning a skating lesson at a raffle. He now can land amazing triple jumps and is working hard. He has the goal of competing internationally someday.

Ana Vinson

Ana Vinson, a talented eight year old, has skated for three years. Her family has moved to a figure skating training center to give Ana the best coaching.

Mirielle Chambers

Mirielle Chambers, age fifteen, has moved away from her home and family to train with a top coach.

Ten year old Joylyn Yang passed her Gold Dance Test when she was only nine years old. She has skated and trained for three hours a day since she was six. She has moved to another state to train with a partner in ice dancing.

Six year old Sam Anderson began skating at age three. He has won many basic skills competitions and wishes to be in the Olympics someday.

Do you know of other young figure skaters that have dreams and hopes to excel in skating? Share about them in the comment section of this post.
