Shall We Dance?

Tuesday August 1, 2006
Tom McHugh and Karen Kane Ice dancing is ballroom dancing on the ice. I began ice dancing as a child and love doing a waltz, tango, or foxtrot on the ice.

Almost anyone who masters figure skating essentials can learn to ice dance. Ice dancing is more fun with a partner than without, but ice dancing can be done solo.

Adults especially find ice dancing fun because jumping is not required. Ice dancer Tom McHugh of Bethel, Connecticut, began figure skating at the age of forty-five and now competes in ice dancing!

The Ice Dancers Forum connects ice dancers worldwide. Ice dancers of all ages share their joy of ice dancing there almost daily.

Are you an ice dancer? Please share your experiences with ice dancing in the comment section of this post.
