Janet Champion - Child Skating Star and Skating Coach

Janet Champion was called "The Shirley Temple of the Skating World."
As a child, she performed spectacular gymnastic moves on the ice and toured with Ice Follies for nine years.
Today, Janet coaches figure skating and has trained some of the top figure skaters in the United States.

These are alot of fun to see. Janet was at the right place and time. As a child my mom would take me up to Cleveland, OH to catch these shows. Janet was in them probably. Those where magical shows back then.
I remember Janet when she attended St.Patrick’s Academy in downtown Montreal in the 1950’s when the Ice Follies were in town…we were all enamoured that we actually had a star attending our school. Got to see the show too. It was fabulous.
